MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Reports to: Eastpointe Christian Church Senior Pastor�

Qualifications:

• 
  

  A heart to serve Jesus Christ and reach people for the Kingdom through Marketing and Communication at Eastpointe Christian Church

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of Eastpointe

  
  


• 
  

  Bachelor�s degree in marketing, graphic design, and/or communication. Some academic work in theology is preferred

  
  


• 
  

  At least 2 years of professional church marketing/communications/social media/video/graphic design experience

  
  


• 
  

  A strong distaste for Comic Sans, Papyrus, WordArt, clip art, flashy video transitions, and the like.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organizational skills

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent oral and written communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Innovative in communication/marketing strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Good time management and ability to work independently

  
  


• 
  

  Strong computer skills (HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, SquareSpace, Wordpress, Video editing software, Social media platforms etc.)

  
  


• 
  

  Able to take direction well

  
  


• 
  

  A leader of leaders - someone able to lead and equip volunteers

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Oversee all aspects of our marketing, communications, and video efforts at Eastpointe

  
  


• 
  

  Effectively develop and maintain systems and teams to make sure that Eastpointe has excellence in all marketing/communication efforts

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and maintain identity standards, as well as policies and procedures for church staff, elders, and key ministry leaders

  
  


• 
  

  Take ultimate responsibility for all pieces of church communication and marketing (video, printed pieces, digital pieces, social media posts, advertisements, announcement slides, website, and large emails)

  
  


• 
  

  Create presentation slides for major discipleship/assimilation efforts for the Senior Pastor (weekly sermons, assimilation luncheons (Starting Pointe, Grow & Go, Grow Group Host training/onboarding process), Leadership 101, The Basics class, etc.)
