Job Description

Overview:

To develop, implement, and coordinate ministry to children (ages birth through 5 th Grade) and their parents, as well as oversee, organize, and provide strategy Sunday morning and various seasonal programs and outreaches.

Responsibilities:


  • Create vision and ministry brand that inspires kids and their families toward Jesus

  • Provide oversight for all kids ministry contractors and volunteers

  • Interviews and places new volunteers in KM (Kids Ministry) roles that match their abilities

  • Recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers for weekend services and special events

  • Develop comprehensive teaching calendar according to age groups

  • Create fun and exciting atmosphere that builds excitement and sows confidence

  • Research and approve age appropriate curriculum to help children learn bible basics

  • Attend and actively participate in Makers small group

  • Attend all staff meetings, retreats, and leadership development training

  • Create and manage Kids Ministry budget

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with kids, parents, and families

  • Manage ministry database




Requirements:


  • Passion for kids and their families to know Jesus and belong

  • Ability to adapt to changes

  • Volunteer Scheduling and check-in software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Background Check

  • Understanding and willingness to communicate mission/values of Makers Church NW

  • A growing personal faith and character




Anticipated Time Commitments
1. Weekly Staff Mtgs, Sunday Gatherings, Team Meetings
2. Periodical Outreach Events, Network Partnerships, and Leadership Conferences
