Job Description

This is a flexible position: it could be combined with another role at Mountain View for full time, or it could be a minimal Sunday morning committment depending on candidate.


Worship Ministry Director
Mountain View Fellowship
Hours: 12 hrs/wk
Pay: $26-$32/hr DOE or $400/Sunday morning for one service
Reports to: Associate Pastor

Goal- Ephesians 4 “to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church”

Primary Task- Lead a team that engages the congregation in weekly worship on Sunday mornings
-provide a pastoral presence to the congregation and worship/tech team
-prepare song sets through Planning Center
-coordinate and schedule volunteers through Planning Center
-keep licensing and software up to date for Planning Center, ProPresenter, CCLI
-recruit and prepare a team using MVF talent as much as possible
-available for practices or team tryouts to develop new talent
-recruit and train a tech team for slides, lighting and audio
-maintain audio, video, tech equipment
-be flexible and responsive to pastoral team input

Other Expectations
-attend weekly worship services and build relationships with MVF families
-attend weekly staff meetings
-attend monthly staff meetings
-participate in one of the 8-week Spiritual Maturity 101 courses offered through MVF within six months of hire
-attend periodic trainings or staff retreats 1-2/yr
