JOB SUMMARY & PURPOSE:

At StoneWater Church, the Granbury Campus Student Director leads the Elevate Student Ministry for grades 5th-12th. This includes weekly gatherings, events, summer camps, mission trips and outreach opportunities for students. As SWC is a multi-site church, the Granbury Campus Student Director also serves as a central support role to the student ministries at 3 additional campuses. They work closely with the Kids Director, Family Pastor, Campus Pastors and Camps Team to collaborate, coordinate and ensure overall family ministry goals are achieved and needs met. They accomplish this by recruiting and equipping people for service to evangelize, train and care for students and their families.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pastor and lead the student ministry team at the Granbury Campus. This includes recruitment, planning, administrative tasks, training, alignment with the larger church, vision casting, evaluations and budgeting.
Communicate the overall vision, goals and strategy of the student ministries to parents and the larger church.
Lead the planning and execution of weekly worship services for students and leaders, including coordination with Facilities Team, Worship Team, Production Team and the Student Team.
Select or create curriculum and implement in environments at church, in the home and the community.
Create fun, safe, interactive environments for students and their families.
Lead the Camps Team during the planning and execution of student retreats, summer camps, mission trips and outreach opportunities locally.
Serve as the primary communicator for student ministry events.
Train SWC staff and key leaders in methods to evangelize and minister to students and their families.
Collaborate with Get Strong Team and attend routine meetings for encouragement, care, story celebration and training (Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Family Ministry, Small Group Ministry).
Provide support to other SWC campuses on a regular basis for event planning, sermon suggestions, church alignment, training and additional care as needed.
Interacting with Students/Their Families/Student Leaders

Establish personal and supportive relationships with students and leaders.
Develop, promote and train leaders in vital small group experiences in the church and in homes.
Create an intentional strategy to train student leaders to lead and serve within the church and community.
Lead students in opportunities to serve the larger church on Sunday mornings.
Participate in Sunday morning worship services and other church wide events as needed.
Student/Family Care

Provide pastoral care to students and their families. The Student Director works closely with our adult pastoral care team, counseling teams, benevolence ministry and other local resources for students and their families.
Lead conversations with students and their families in regards to salvation, baptism and other spiritual/life decisions. This often includes coordination with additional ministry teams within SWC.
Connect students and their families to pertinent resources to spiritually and practically equip their family.
Community

Attend student events and functions at local schools and community events to build relationships, gain influence and improve the ability of SWC to minister in the community.
Serve as a resource and connector to other Christian ministries in the area.
Remain informed and routinely train others on student trends across the nation and in the community in regards to the spiritual, emotional and physical health of students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A personal experience of conversion and commitment to Jesus Christ as demonstrated through a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus.
A desire to lead SWC students to accept and follow Jesus, along with an authentic love for, patience with, and good understanding of students.
Bachelor�s Degree in a student ministry related field or a combination of a degree and experience in student ministry.
Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in teaching and preaching the Bible to students and families.
Experience in directly leading a team, as well as working with larger teams.
Ministry experience and/or ability to demonstrate effectiveness in student ministry.
WORK HOURS:

Hours will vary as the schedule of events, campaigns, conferences, camps, meetings and other opportunities arise. The leader must understand that ministry does not fall within a normal 9:00a-5:00p schedule and working outside of that schedule including weekends and holidays for SWC events may be required. Minimum in-office hours include Monday-Thursday, Sunday mornings with additional times as needed. Hours in the office will be necessary for collaboration with the Family Ministry Teams and G4 Teams (Get In, Get Healthy, Get Strong, Get Going) in order to accomplish objectives.
