Mission

Position Summary
-Provide leadership and oversight to all areas of Children’s Ministry (infant through sixth grade) for Sundays, Wednesday evenings and special events
Qualifications
-A passionate follower of Christ who leads an exemplary Christian life
-Bachelor’s degree and/or three years demonstrated leadership experience with children or family ministry
-A sense of call and a passion for ministry that is grounded in biblical truth
-Possesses an enthusiastic and energetic personality and ability to work well with children, parents and volunteers
-Detail oriented, organized and able to communicate effectively with staff, congregation members, and the public
-Planning Center On-line or similar database management experience desired
-Mailchimp and social media proficiency necessary
-Willing to become a member of this church and fully support the mission, values and standards
Accountability
-Will report directly to one of the pastors
-Regularly communicate with the Council Representative for Children’s Ministry
-Work to achieve the goals for Children’s Ministry within -the strategic plan of the church and within budget
Primary Areas of Responsibility
-Develop and implement a strategy for whole family discipleship
-Develop and manage a budget for children’s ministry
-Implement and develop programming for the spiritual growth of children; intentionally finding ways to connect, equip and engage them
-Recruit, interview, train, schedule and supervise ministry assistants and volunteers
-Oversee all areas of programming and curriculum for nursery through sixth grade
-Work with pastors to develop educational and fellowship opportunities on Wednesday evenings and during the seasons of Lent and Advent
-Plan and coordinate camps, trips and special events for children and their families
-Coordinate and communicate regularly with the Youth Ministry Director
-Attend weekly staff meetings, planning sessions, retreats and Council meetings as needed
