CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

REGARDING SALARY: This position is funded via personal support raising. We have experts on staff who provide WORLD CLASS advice/learning/training/coaching - all to aid the individual hired in the support raising process. 


JOB DESCRIPTION - 

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
With a keen awareness of the need for exhibiting excellence in alignment with the ministry vision of EXAGO in all areas of organizational activities, the purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative functions for EXAGO and subsidiaries. 


REPORTING: This role (COO) derives authority from, is appointed by, and responsible to the President or Chief Executive Officer of EXAGO. 




OBJECTIVE: The Chief Operations Officer ensures that the ministry vision and organizational goals derived from the President or CEO are executed with efficiency and effectiveness.  Among the specific responsibilities and duties of this position are: 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 



  • Oversee day-to-day business and ministry operations with a detail-oriented approach and mindfulness of overall budget goals.

  • Collaborate with CEO, Board of Directors, and other members of the Executive Team in determining the strategic roadmap for accomplishing organizational goals; translate key goals into time-keyed objectives.  

  • Oversee all EXAGO employees outside of the Executive Team, whether paid hourly staff, salaried employees, and support raising ministry workers, ensuring productivity, reviewing performance and growth, and providing resources for necessary training for personal and professional growth. 

  • Network with Executive Leadership with relevant ministries, missions agencies, church networks, and organizations to elevate awareness of EXAGO, but also to find rich soil for possible inroads for Exago’s services.

  • Work with the CEO and other members of the Executive Team to foster a Christ-centered culture within EXAGO--supporting biblical conflict resolution, healthy employee/employer relationships, servant leadership values, and establishing an atmosphere where EXAGO employees can “survive and thrive”.

  • Designing systems, processes, and new business operational models in keeping with industry best practices; implement effective digital and virtual solutions for a remote business model, in keeping with overall organizational budget. 

  • Establishing policies that promote EXAGO culture and vision. 

  • Direct the onboarding, training, and leadership promotion of new and existing EXAGO “core team” staff (Director-level); work with Human Resources Director and Coaching Catalyst to improve systems, processes, and training of new coaches and employees. 

  • Equip leaders through written and spoken media, such as podcasts, conference workshops, articles, keynote speaking, retreats, etc., with a focus on equipping pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and other ministry leaders to survive and thrive. 

  • Actively participate in the coach-level of EXAGO Coaching (Support Raising & Holistic), observing how systems and processes are working for both coaches and coachees.   





ABILITY TO:





  • Work remotely with excellence.

  • Have the time/expenses/planning for travel for team meetings, and to possibly help physically host team meetings occasionally.

  • Provide leadership, cultivate and maintain positive relationships with Executive Team, external stakeholders, and EXAGO staff.

  • Manage, supervise, coach and evaluate a team of professionals to ensure effective and efficient operations.

  • Communicate with strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral, in alignment with sound biblical theology. 

  • Identify industry trends and forecast trajectory of growth for EXAGO.

  • Sustain positive and open lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate a variety of high-profile tasks and responsibilities.

  • Uphold and to support the team covenant of EXAGO, and embody the core values of the organization. 

  • Average at least 1 full day of sabbath weekly


 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:





  • Professional degree(s) in Business, Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or another related field). 

  • Experience in Executive Leadership, including oversight of others in a supervisory capacity and project management. 

  • Possess or work towards official  ICF-coaching aligned Credentials 












BENEFITS




    • Potential salary is negotiable but very palatable. As needed you will receive support raising coaching in aiding you to reach support goals.

    • Position includes 3 weeks vacation yearly  

    • Position also includes a yearly recurring span of 3  “mini-sabbatical” weeks. The position does need to be available for a weekly check-in during minisabaatical, but otherwise this is largely out of office time intended to be spent in 
      Education, Collaboration, or Rest.
