Job Description
Summary:
The Community Life Pastor is responsible for encouraging, leading and growing the discipleship life for attenders of Moose Lake Covenant (MLC). The Pastor will provide leadership by supporting and implementing MLC’s Vision of Loving and Leading People into a Growing Relationship with Jesus. This is done through fulfilling its mission of being radically relational with Jesus, the church, and the world.

Qualifications:
Growing relationship with Jesus. Evidence of deep personal growth & servant leadership
Solid Biblical knowledge consistent with Covenant theology and practice
Strong background in spiritual formation and a passion for whole-life discipleship
Passion for seeing people become connected to Jesus and His church
Energetic, organized, and willing to collaborate
Strong interpersonal skills
Great communication and listening skills
Exhibits management skills - creating, planning and implementing
A team player - supportive of Christ’s work in all ministries of the church
Responsibilities:
- Be the point-person for the Community Life of MLC
- Develop and lead a Discipleship Pathway that lives into our vision and mission
- Oversee LifeGroup engagement: plan, recruit, develop, equip, and train leaders
- Organize and develop opportunities for serving others in the church and community
- Build and lead teams that foster engagement and growth in discipleship
- Communicate effectively with the church through all types of methods… verbal, text, email, bulletin, website, social media etc.
- Preach 10-12 times a year
- Attend Staff meetings and meet with the Senior Pastor regularly
- Attend all business meetings and give a verbal/written report
- Submit a monthly report to the Church Council
- Other duties as assigned
Experience/Education:
Master’s Level Seminary Degree
Ordained to Word and Sacrament
Experience in the area of Spiritual Formation and Whole-Life Discipleship
