Job Description

Crosspointe Church is a multi-generational church located just north of Pittsburgh. Currently Crosspointe has two Sunday morning worship services and averages 250 in attendance. The mission of Crosspointe is to glorify God by making disciples through gathering in worship, growing together in faith and going throughout the world to spread the Gospel. The executive pastor will be responsible for working with Crosspointe Church leadership in implementing this vision while leading ministry volunteers, life groups, and communication responsibilities.  The executive pastor must be an exceptional leader who effectively communicates and engages with elders, staff, volunteers, and students.  Above all else, the executive pastor’s love for Christ will be apparent in his interactions and will infiltrate throughout Crosspointe Church.

Qualifications:

Spiritual:

• Meets elder qualifications as listed in 1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1.


• Has a personal calling to ministry.


• Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.


• Have a strong commitment to personal study of Bible, prayer and the spiritual disciplines.


• Have strong Biblical knowledge and ability to teach and correctly handle God’s Word.


• If married, have a healthy and Godly marriage and be the spiritual leader of your home.

Personal:

• Bachelor’s degree minimum, Masters degree preferred..


• Prior church staff experience or equivalent experience.


• Strong leadership qualities.


• Basic graphic design and video production skills.


• Organizational and administrative skills.


• Must align with the overall vision of Crosspointe.


• Be aligned with Crosspointe’s doctrine, mission, and vision of Crosspointe. 


• Be actively engaged in a small group and live a life committed to multiplying disciples.

Responsibilities:

Communications:

• Whatever anyone sees, hears, touches or clicks concerning Crosspointe.


• Web site oversight.


• Manage all email communication from church.


• Worship service: livestream, projection slides, bulletin.


• Social media use.


• Manage and oversee church calendar.


• Any bulk mailings.

Ministry Oversight:

• Develop and implement yearly goals with staff, and Deacons for each ministry of Crosspointe.


• Partner with Senior Pastor in vision casting and strategy for new ministries.


• Oversee monthly staff meetings.


• Meet weekly with Senior Pastor.


• Oversee church budget with each ministry.


• Oversee purchases of the church, including necessary research into right equipment.


• Oversee building operations and maintenance.


• Attend monthly elder meetings.

Life Groups:

• Oversee Life Groups including…


• Promoting Life Groups


• Recruiting & training new leaders.


• Ongoing assimilation of congregants into current or new life groups.


• Coaching and caring for leaders.


• Managing curriculum
