Looking for an outgoing Youth Pastor who is looking for a challenge in a multicultural, urban community.  This Pastor will lead and guide our church's middle and high school students in developing a relationship with Christ and growing in His knowledge through scripture, study, and fellowship with others. When possible, the Youth Pastor will attend student events to help develop relationships. We are a church that believes in living with Open Arms.

To be successful in this position, you need to provide students with a place to belong that gives them the courage to be open and honest about the pressures they face in their world. Ideal candidates will have a proficient understanding of the challenges young people face and are compassionate.

The current youth group meets on Wednesday nights and has a class on Sunday Mornings. 

• Overseeing, growing, and coordinating church's youth ministry.


• Designing, overseeing, and examining curriculum for all youth programs, events, and classes.


• Leading middle and high school students to encourage their spiritual growth.


• Developing positive relationships with students and their parents.


• Sharing program plans through social media.


• Displaying Christ-like approach and lifestyle.


• Praying regularly for young people in the church and community.


• Incorporating youth into various church ministries.


• Developing a Student Ministries leadership team of volunteer adults and youth.

Youth Pastor Requirements:

• Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.


• Degree or previous experience in student ministries, biblical studies, theology, or related areas.


• Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people.


• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with social media.


• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Excellent biblical knowledge.


• Excellent organizational skills.


• Ability to lead by example.


• Available to work flexible hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice.


• Candidates with musical abilities to lead youth in worship and help lead weekend worship services will be given extra consideration.
