Specific Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma is the minimum required and some Bible ministry training.
Must be experienced in leading youth ministry.
Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Part-Time Position - 20 Hours
Duties
Oversee the youth ministry. (First Baptist youth include 6th-12th grade). Since you can’t do it all this will require being a magnet for volunteers. It will also mean that most of the job will be developing and training volunteers to help with the following duties.
The Forge youth currently meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm each week. In the future, as well as Sunday morning classl.
Maintain a 13-month Calendar with special events and service themes (summer camp, Ski-trips, etc).
Maintain all Forge youth social media pages. We like to have a strong social media presence.
Create youth services and schedule all youth volunteers in Planning Center. Send PC out a week in advance. Read over Sunday mornings PC to be in the know.
Make sure all youth are securely checked in at each youth service.
Seek out youth on Sunday mornings to invite to youth services and events.
Develop relationships with youth and parents.
Follow up with youth and youth guests.
Evaluate the look and feel of the youth environments. It is your responsibility to create irresistible, inviting and safe spaces for students.
Help FBC with it’s 5 year goals.
Assist with outreaches. We all pull together for big events.
Suggest ways to involve youth in the ministry of the church as a whole, supporting and participating in FBC's vision, worship services and activities.
Attend graduations, sports events and other special events for youth.
Prepare reports for leadership that include metrics, accomplishments, etc. There will be growth goals in place for this ministry.
