Job Description
Youth Ministry Coordinator
Halifax United Methodist Church – Youth Ministries
Halifax United Methodist Church is a family-friendly, growing congregation with a passion for Children & Youth Ministries. We are seeking a Youth Ministry Coordinator to oversee, coordinate, and implement a Christ-centered, dynamic discipleship program for youth 6th-12th grade. This person will oversee weekly Youth Group meetings (Wednesday evenings), Halifax Youth Center afterschool programming (M-F), and provide resources & support to Life Group leaders and youth Sunday school teachers. The Youth Ministry Coordinator will also coordinate special events such as youth retreats, & mission trips on an annual basis.
This full-time exempt position is available to candidates age 22+.
Degree in Youth Ministries, Social Service or similar area of study preferred, but not required.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a joyful, active relationship with Christ, be able to draw others into community, and relate well to people of all ages and positions within the community.
Salary commensurate with experience
Child Protection Clearances The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
