Freedom Bible Church launched 14 years ago with the mission of being a Gospel-centered, disciple-making community that LOVES Upward, Inward, and Outward. We have a team approach to ministry and are committed to fulfilling Jesus' command to make disciples. 

Freedom is located in Augusta, Georgia. We are strategically located in the middle of four high schools in our area of the city. Augusta is a great place to live and raise a family. We are home of the Master's Golf Tournament and two hours from the beach or the mountains. 

We are currently looking for an Associate Pastor of Youth & Worship who is first and foremost a disciple-maker. The right fit for this role at our church must have a passion for reaching the next generation and leading people in worship. We are searching for someone who wants to actively invest in the lives of students by reaching teenagers who are far from God, making reproducible disciples, and equipping them to carry the Gospel to their schools. The candidate must also be skilled in leading contemporary and modern worship experiences and have a desire to help people connect with God through all aspects of worship.

Student Ministry Responsibilities: 

• Identify, invite, train, and empower leaders to be a part of the Student Ministry.


• Lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus


• Serve as the primary communicator for the Student Ministry.  


• Invest in the lives of students through disciple-making relationships.


• Organize small groups for middle & high school students.


• Develop a strategy to reach students far from God.


• Oversee all aspects of our ministry to middle & high school students and their parents.


• Intentionally involve students in serving in all areas of the church.


• Actively partner with parents through effective communication and disciple-making strategies.

Worship Ministry Responsibilities:

• Lead dynamic and engaging worship at during our Sunday morning service and other occasional special events. Our worship style is contemporary and modern.  


• Identify, recruit, equip, lead, and disciple band members .


• Lead and develop a creative arts team.


• Work alongside the Lead Pastor and Creative Team to design engaging worship experiences.


• Lead weekly band rehearsals and tryouts as needed.


• Must have a strong ability to lead worship vocally and have a working knowledge of Pro-Presenter, Planning Center, CCLI, and A/V equipment. 

Personal Responsibilities:

• Commitment to a strong and consistent personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily devotions and prayer.


• Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus first, your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth.


• Be loyal to the vision and staff of Freedom Bible Church and always protect the unity of the church.


• Model what it means to carry the Gospel where you live, work, and play.

Additional Pastoral Ministry Duties:

• Contribute to additional ministries where gifts, interests, and church needs coincide, as determined with the lead pastor (examples: preaching, teaching, outreach, etc...).


• Perform other pastoral and associate duties as needed and directed by the lead pastor.
