Title:WGR graceKIDS! Director
Campus:Winter Garden
Reports to:Winter Garden Campus Pastor and Network gK! Director
Supervises: Campus gK! Volunteer Team
Job Summary: The Campus graceKIDS! Director is responsible to implement the vision, philosophy, and mission of graceKIDS! at the campus level, partnering with parents to help kids take their next steps toward Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Leadership:
• Lead and communicate the vision, philosophy, and mission of graceKIDS! and Grace Church ensuring unity with the larger church.
• Attend regular leadership meetings with the network and campus staff
• Create and maintain a healthy gk! Leadership Team, including coaches, at the WGR campus
• Evaluating the effectiveness of programs and making changes to improve, as needed.
• Establish annual goals with Family Ministry leaders, Network Staff, and the Winter Garden Campus Pastor that are consistent with Grace’s vision and goals.
• Provide administrative leadership for long-range planning, budgeting, and calendar coordination at both the campus and church level.
2. Volunteer Recruitment, training, supervision, and vision casting
• Recruit, develop, and train leaders at the campus level to implement and run effective graceKIDS! programming.
• Develope updated job descriptions and age-specific guidelines for volunteers serving in all areas of graceKIDS!
• Support annual and ongoing training for the entire graceKIDS! team.
• Provide pastoral support and on-going spiritual encouragement and direction for the graceKIDS! team.
3. Partner with parents to help kids take their next steps towards Christ.
• These steps include Parent Cues, Devotions, Activity Boxes, Resource Center, Service Projects, Infant/Child Dedication and Baptism.
• First time family follow up and assimilation
4. Support the pastors, staff, mission, vision, and house rules of Grace Church.
Necessary skills and requirements:
• Maintain a strong walk and faith in Christ.
• Embrace Grace’s vision, house rules, and missional strategy for personal & corporate growth.
• Experience in effectively leading people and teams - able to build group cohesiveness and create ownership of the ministry.
• A growing understanding of ministry and leadership development.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic.
