Job Description

Grace Church is looking for a motivated and multi-talented Worship/Associate Pastor. This person will have a great opportunity to help build a thriving church centered on Jesus. Grace is a smaller church with a lot of potential in the flourishing city of Henderson in the Las Vegas Valley.

This is a full-time position that will report to the Lead Pastor.

Position Responsibilities

 Lead the Worship Ministry at Grace Church

• Meet with Lead Pastor weekly to coordinate direction of the service


• Lead and coordinate all worship elements of the service


• Communicate with the worship team during the week and rehearse with them before the service


• Invite and train additional volunteers to be a part of the Worship and Tech teams


• Schedule and lead the Tech Team (audio and computer volunteers)


• Attend weekly staff meeting and participate in other ministry areas as needed


• Guide weekly setup and tear down of sound equipment


• Other duties pertaining to the role

 Additional Duties

• Oversee other ministry areas depending upon gifting, experience, and need
  
  
  
  • Areas may include: Student Ministry or Community Group Ministry
  
  
  
  


• Administrative duties as necessary


• Preach in service periodically depending on gifting


• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong and engaging stage presence


• Excellent skill in at least one musical instrument (guitar or keyboard), proficiency in others is a bonus


• Must possess strong vocal ability


• Able to care for the Worship/Tech Team and lead them organizationally


• Strong proficiency in Worship technology (Planning Center Services, sound equipment…etc.)


• Mature and growing Believer in Jesus


• Humble and authentic attitude


• Strong dependable character


• Must place a high value on collaboration and work closely with the Lead Pastor


• Willing and able to flex role due to being in a smaller church environment


• Excellent relationship builder, preferably with an outgoing/energetic personality


• Able to laugh and have fun with regularity


• Motivated and excited to help build something so significant that only God can take credit


• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred


• Some church work experience is required
