Job Description

St. John Lutheran Church is seeking a part-time Contemporary Worship Director that will plan, coordinate and lead a Sunday worship service, a weekly contemporay band rehersal, as well as various services during certain time of the year (Christmas, Lent).

Qualifications: Keyboard experience, abiity to lead a congregation with worship/praise music, knowledge of contempoary Christian music, Bachelors degree in music or related field a plus.

Experience: Leading and participating in a Contmporary praise/worship bands, ensembles.

Expectatioms: Recruit and equip members of the Contemporary band. Maintain and manage band/sound equipment, copyrights and financial spending. Participate in strategic worship planning by attending staff meetings and Worship and Music Team meetings. Collaborate with volunteers and paid staff to create a contemporary worship experience.
Select and organize music and components for a contempoary worship experience.
