Job Description

OVLC is seeking a young, energetic, creative indiviual who is called to children's ministry. OVLC is a long-established small church that is going through a transition with a new Senior Pastor. The poisiton will start as a part-time positoin, however there is opportunity for a full-time position as th church grows.

The current Children's ministry at OVLC is not well establsihed and the right candidate will need to creatively develop and implement a program the brings spiritual growth to our exisitng children, and develop a program that focuses on reaching our community. The right candidate will need to know how to communicate with the tools used by our current culture (understand and uses email, facebook, instagram, etc.) We are looking for someone who is current, relevent, and appealing to our community.

We beleive it is important to know the story of God and to teach the story of God to our children. We also believe in the importance of reaching others with our faith through healthy evangelism.

You must be a strong communicator, that demonstrates a godly lifestyle.

Prior experience working with children is preferred.

You must be able to express a strong understaning of the basics of our Christian faith, along with the importance of teaching these principles to children.
