Job Description: Somerset Congregational Church, a rural (lake-community), multi-generational, evangelical church with 70 members in Somerset, MI, is seeking a seminarian student to serve as our Interim Pastor for the summer of 2020, while our pastor is on sabbatical. �Our church desires to hire a seminarian so as to allow the student an opportunity to grow in experience and wisdom as a pastor in all aspects of ministry. The seminarian would need to start by Monday, May 18 and serve a total of 12 weeks during the summer (with flexibility based on the seminarian�s school schedule).�

Responsibilities: Planning, overseeing and preaching at the Sunday services, leading a midweek Bible Study, participation in church events (including VBS) and in leadership meetings, caring for the sick and those in need of counseling as needed, and other pastoral duties as they arise.� The seminarian would be shepherded by a mentor leader in the church, expected to work 32 hours a week, and agree with our church�s statement of faith, which can be found at our website: www.somersetchurch.com.

Compensation: $5,000 and housing provided.
